LORD, I BELIEVE, BUT HELP MY UNBELIEF!

"TRUE STORY OR NOT, THIS IS FOOD FOR THOUGHT!"

A tightrope walker rode his bicycle across Niagra Falls and returned safely back to his starting point. A great number of people were standingon the bank watching in awe as excitement mounted. They cheered wildlyas he safely made this trip.

The young man then got his wheelbarrow and pushed it toward the falls. He asked "How many of you believe I CAN take my wheelbarrow acrossthe falls and safely return to this side?"

The crowd began cheering, and saying they believed he could.

The young man then asked "Who wants to be the first person toget in the wheelbarrow, and take a ride across the falls and back?"

The crowd was silent. There were NO volunteers.

How many of us would be just like everyone in the crowd? We have seen, and most likely we have all experienced, the supernatural and miraculous.

WE BELIEVE GOD CAN ..... BUT DO WE BELIEVE GOD WILL?

Mark 9:17-24(17) And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee myson, which hath a dumb spirit:
(18) And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him, and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away:and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
(19) He answered him and said, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
(20) And they brought him unto him, and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tear him; and he feel on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
(21) And he asked the father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, of a child.(22) And oft times it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters: to destroy him: but ifthou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.
(23) Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
(24) And straightway, the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe, help thou mine unbelief.
